Low Carbon South Oxford

About Low Carbon South Oxford

LCSO is a community group established in March 2011 which aims to help South Oxford residents, groups and organisations work together to reduce their carbon footprint; raise awareness of environmental issues; and move towards more environmentally sustainable ways of living and working.

Since 2011 we have set up a Car Club and a weekly Farmers' and Community Market, and we organise three Swap Shops each year. We have a committee and a number of sub-groups focusing on Sustainable Transport, being Creative with Waste, Farmers' and Community Market and Community Renewable Energy

We are closely linked with Hogacre Common, our wonderful local eco-park/nature reserve.

We have also offered small groups for local residents who are interested in  exploring low carbon living, most recently a  'Carbon Conversations' group with local parents.  If you have a group of friends or a local group who might be interested in exploring low carbon living, or would like to know more, get in touch at This email address is being protected from spambots. If you have ideas or suggestions about activities or events we should be involved in or be offering, we'd love to hear from you.
