Swap Shop, Saturday 29th September 2012

We will hold our second Swap Shop from 10.30am-12.00pm on Saturday 29th September, at South Oxford Community Centre, Lake Street.

  • Please bring any unwanted but re-useable items (household items, clothes, bric-a-brac, toys, garden things, etc.)
  • and/or take something someone else has brought.
  • You don't have to bring something to take something away, and you don't have to take anything if you bring something.
  • Everything is free, you only need money if you want a snack from the Community Café which will run at the same time!

We want to do this in the spirit of re-using as much as possible rather than sending stuff to landfill

Meet with members of Low Carbon South Oxford, Oxford Community Association members, and Cultivate to plan for the setting up of a Farmers' Market to start in September at the Community Centre.  East Oxford Farmers' Market will introduce by telling  us about their experiences in setting up and their continued successes.  We hope shortly to unveil a business plan and with community support there is every hope we can make a success of the market - come if you want to be a customer, trader, or helper or just have some good ideas to share with us.
